I love being interviewed on different podcasts talking about topics I’m passionate about like eating disorder recovery, intuitive eating, and growing a business.
I was recently interviewed on a podcast episode by Glenys Oyston and Aaron Flores for the Dietitians Unplugged podcast. The episode is all about binge eating and emotional eating and I had such a blast talking about defining both terms (and why they are different), the reasons why people binge eat, and what to do about it to have a better relationship with food.
I love sharing how dietitians and healthcare professionals support our clients who are working on eating disorder recovery and body image. Often people do not understand how they can make progress with the help of a professional. Habits can be difficult to change, and professional support is often needed to heal from disordered eating.
Both clients and professionals have told me how powerful the episode was to listen to, I hope you take some time to listen in and learn.

P.S. If podcasts aren’t your favorite, I have an article to share that’s pretty similar if you’d rather read about binge eating and emotional eating. The Food & Nutrition magazine featured an article I wrote on binge eating disorder in the January/February 2019 issue. I was so honored to write this article to highlight the important role Registered Dietitians have in the treatment of eating disorders. Click here to read the article and let me know what you think!
